Our veterinarians are dedicated and highly skilled professionals. They are extremely capable and proficient in diagnostics, pain management, emergency treatments, and surgery. At least one of these professionals is always available and prepared to provide your pet with needed urgent care. From a snake bite to a car accident, a gastric torsion surgery to a c-section – or anything else in between, they are ready.
But our doctors are only a part of our critical care team; they are assisted by an incredible staff. We are extremely proud of our nurses, veterinary assistants, certified veterinary assistants, technicians and Registered Veterinary Technicians. Together, our staff possesses vast experience in veterinary medicine. And their passion and dedication for providing the best possible care for your pet only add to this knowledge and experience.

Christopher Lewis, DVM
Dr. Christopher Lewis was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He then moved to the Northeast to continue his studies. In 2000, he graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. He then attended Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2005. Upon graduation, he then moved to Atlanta, GA to complete a rotating internship at Georgia Veterinary Specialists. While Dr. Lewis’ passion resides in challenge and variety of emergency medicine and surgery, he has worked in general practice and was the medical director at a successful primary care hospital in the Woodlands. He joined Animal Emergency Clinic NE in the Spring of 2015. Dr. Lewis became the medical director at AECNE in the summer of 2017.

Jennifer Harnden, LVT - Hospital Administrator
Jennifer started her career in the veterinary field in 2004, proudly gaining her CVA I in 2007. She earned her AAS in Veterinary Technology from Cedar Valley College in 2011, shortly thereafter becoming an RVT (now an LVT) in the great state of Texas. Currently, Jennifer is completing her BS at Sam Houston State University in Biology, with a minor in Animal Science. She is looking forward to becoming a CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) and potentially reaching further to her Master's Degree. Her veterinary experience includes working in general practice, cardiology, internal medicine, critical care and emergency medicine. In 2015, she became the Hospital Administrator of the Animal Emergency Clinic North East. Her veterinary passions include: excellent patient care, emergency and critical care medicine, and ultrasonography.

Meagan began her career in the veterinary field at a local shelter assisting in the care of the dogs and cats up for adoption 3 years ago. She worked at a local day practice before joining our team. She is currently attending classes in the pursuit of becoming a veterinarian.
